Responsibilities
  • Development and quality response for PCR, TBR, and Racing tires

Hankook Technodome (Daejeon)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge in mechanics, machine design, automotive dynamics, etc.

Mass Production Design (Design)

Responsibilities
  • Diversification of sourcing origins and specification development
  • Support for the application of new structures and new materials
  • Management of trial tire production
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • Foundational knowledge in mechanics, machine design, automotive dynamics, etc.

Mold Technology Development (Design)

Responsibilities
  • Research and development of new tire mold technologies (structure, materials, surface technology, etc.)
  • Development and quality management of tire mold manufacturing and approval processes
  • Technical support related to mold development for new tire products
  • Research and development of manufacturing methods such as casting, engraving, and 3D printing for molds
  • Support for quality improvement and production at global plant mold facilities

  • Expertise in mechanical or mold engineering
  • Foundational knowledge in mechanics, machine design, automotive dynamics, casting, 3D printing, and metal surface/thermal treatment

Pattern Technology Research (Design)

Responsibilities
  • Development of PC/LT/Racing tire patterns
  • Establishment of the pattern development process
  • Support for fostering performance improvements in OE and RE product development
  • Research on the characteristics and performance enhancement of patterns and tire dynamics

  • Expertise in mechanical or automotive engineering

  • Experience in product development and project management

Compound Development Research (Materials)

Responsibilities
  • Research and development of new compounds for PC/LT/TB tires
  • Support for compound performance improvement and quality management

  • Expertise in high polymers, materials, or chemistry
  • Experience in organic and polymer synthesis, as well as related project analysis

Process Research (Materials)

Responsibilities
  • Development and application of new compound processing technologies
  • Research on optimizing manufacturing processes and improving productivity

Raw Material Development Research (Materials)

Responsibilities

NVH Performance Research (Research)

Responsibilities
  • Development of technologies for improving tire NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) performance
  • Development of processes for improving the efficiency and evaluation of tire NVH testing
  • Evaluation and certification of vehicle NVH performance
  • Research and development of NVH prediction technology and tools

Tire Design System Research (Digital Research)

Responsibilities
  • Development of tools for optimizing tire design
  • Development of tools for automating tire design
  • Establishment and operation of tire design systems\

  • Expertise in industrial engineering, computer engineering, or mechanical engineering
  • Experience in database model design based on SQL
  • Experience with programming (development languages such as Java, Python) and data processing

Simulation Tool Research (Digital Research)

Responsibilities
  • Development and foundational research of FE (Finite Element) Inhouse Solver and tool establishment
  • Development of tools for standardizing and automating simulations of tire performance and manufacturing processes
  • Development of tire performance prediction machine learning models and digital twin models
  • Research on AI-based advanced learning for structured and unstructured data
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in mechanical, automotive, artificial intelligence, computer, or industrial engineering
  • Experience in using CAE tools (such as FEM, CFD)
  • Experience in nonlinear FEM and programming
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R
  • Master's degree or higher, or expected to obtain a master's degree by February 2025

Material Evaluation (Evaluation)

Responsibilities
  • Research on material testing and evaluation methods
  • Planning and operation of physical/chemical tests
  • Analysis of tire raw materials
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in materials or chemistry
  • Knowledge in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, etc.
  • Experience in NMR structural analysis and chemical analysis research
  • Master's degree or higher, or expected to obtain a master's degree by February 2025

Indoor Evaluation (Evaluation)

Responsibilities
  • Research and development of testing methods for evaluating tire characteristics or wear performance
  • Research and development of technology for predicting tire system or wear performance mechanisms
  • Research and development of indoor testing equipment and testing methods for tires
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • Foundational knowledge in mechanics, machine design, vehicle dynamics, and data processing/analysis
  • Experience in evaluation, data analysis, and deriving results in projects
  • Master's degree or higher, or expected to obtain a master's degree by February 2025

Quality Evaluation (Evaluation)

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of root causes of tire quality issues and suggesting improvement directions
  • Research on internal structure technology (e.g., identification and benchmarking of failure mode mechanisms)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in mechanical, automotive, or industrial engineering
  • Foundational knowledge in mechanics and vehicle dynamics
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python

Test Equipment Optimization (Evaluation)

Responsibilities
  • Development, installation, and implementation of research test equipment
  • Maintenance (repair, calibration) and improvement of research test equipment
  • Technical support for global test sites (Daejeon, Geumsan, and overseas facilities)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in electrical or mechatronics engineering
  • Foundational knowledge in electrical systems, control systems, and sensors
  • Proficiency in English communication

On-Vehicle Tire Testing (Evaluation)

Responsibilities
  • Subjective evaluation of OE/RE/TB tire performance on vehicles
  • Determination of whether target performance is achieved and proposing directions for improvement or further development
  • Inspection of key tire performance attributes
  • Development of evaluation and analysis technologies for on-vehicle tire testing
Hankook Technoring (Taean)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in mechanical, automotive, or industrial engineering
  • Experience in vehicle and tire evaluation is preferred
  • Willingness to relocate and reside in Taean/Seosan areas

 

Eligibility for Domestic Applicants (Koreans)

  • Graduates or prospective graduates (by February 2025) from a 4-year university or higher.
  • Must have no restrictions on overseas travel; male applicants must be exempt from or have completed mandatory military service.
  • Language Requirements:
    • [Business Support/Sales/Marketing/SCM/Purchasing]: TOEIC Speaking IM3 or higher or OPIc IM2 or higher.
    • [R&D/Engineering/Quality]: TOEIC Speaking IM2 or higher or OPIc IM1 or higher.
      ① Only test scores within 2 years of the application deadline are accepted.
      ② If the final school is in an English-speaking country, the language test requirement may be waived (must have studied there for at least 2 years).


Eligibility for International Students
